The main innovation of the Transporter lies in its opening mechanism and the way it connects to the drive. By utilizing a peristaltic pump head that squeezes the hose through a roller, the Transporter effectively moves liquids in a pipe. This design eliminates the need for hose replacement and pump head dismantling, making it a fast and easy solution for fluid transmission.
One of the standout features of the Transporter is its highly saturated color block, which serves as an operation button. This visual indicator allows staff to easily locate the operation position, enhancing efficiency and reducing errors. Additionally, the Transporter's color scheme aids beginners in understanding its functionality.
The Transporter is made with Ixef1022, a durable shell material that ensures longevity and reliability. When closed, the product measures 83mmx56mmx83mm, and when opened, it extends to 83mmx56mmx180mm. The hose replacement space is 22.4mm, providing ample room for maintenance.
Operating the Transporter is straightforward. To install the hose, simply rotate the red cover upward, lift the pressure tube structure, place the hose in, and rotate the red cover downward. The elastic clamping structure on the hose inlet and outlet accommodates No.13-17 hoses. Connecting the pump head to the driver involves fixing the adapter plate to the driver with screws and rotating the pump head towards the card slot of the connecting board. The spring self-locks to complete the installation.
The Transporter project commenced in April 2021 in Hebei, China, and concluded in February 2022. Extensive research was conducted to ensure the design's practicality and ease of use. By testing the lifespan of the hose and interviewing users about the challenges they faced with pump head loading and unloading, Chengtao Cui and the design team were able to create a solution that addresses these issues effectively.
The Transporter's minimalist design, with its absence of decorative lines, showcases a red and white color scheme. The red parts are functional, allowing users to easily identify the pump head's opening mechanism. The rebound mechanism further enhances the user's experience by indicating that the pump head has been securely installed.
The Transporter has been recognized for its excellence and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Product Engineering and Technical Design category in 2022. This prestigious accolade celebrates designs that demonstrate exceptional technical skills, resourcefulness, and contributions to improving quality of life.
